A group of influential women are getting their own trading cards as part of a new Topps set celebrating their work across baseball.

Arriving as part of the flagship 2024 Topps Series 2 Baseball release Wednesday, the Women in Baseball insert set is a first of its kind.

The five-card set features a variety of coaches, analysts and media members who have made an impact in both Major League Baseball as well as the minor leagues.

Currently an assistant coach for the San Francisco Giants, Alyssa Nakken is known as the first full-time female coach in MLB history. She joined the Giants in a full-time role in 2020 after first interning with the team.

Now a bench coach for the Double-A Amarillo Sod Poodles, Ronnie Gajownik became the first female manager of a High-A team last year. She was one of only 11 women coaches in baseball at the time.

A former All-American and Olympic softball player, Jessica Mendoza has been a reporter with ESPN since 2007 and became the first female analyst for nationally televised MLB games in 2015.

Recently named the Girls’ Baseball Ambassador for MLB, Veronica Alvarez has been the manager of the U.S. women’s baseball national team since 2019.

Rachel Folden has been a hitting coordinator in the Chicago Cubs minor-league system since 2019, when she became the first female coach in the organization’s history.

The set includes Blue, Black, Gold, Red and Platinum 1/1 variations with base cards expected to fall once in every 97 Hobby packs.

Additional details on how the set was created weren’t immediately available, though a Topps spokesperson confirmed to cllct the set is expected to continue beyond 2024.
