Topps has taken the card world by storm in the last few months with two of the most sought-after chase cards we’ve seen on the market.
First, there was the U.S. Olympic triple autograph card featuring Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James, which has yet to surface after months of waiting.
Now, there’s the Paul Skenes 1/1 Rookie Debut Patch card, which prompted the Pirates to offer a massive trade package, including 30 years of season tickets behind home plate.
Given the attention on the chase cards right now, cllct predicts what the next great chase card could be for athletes who have yet to reach the professional ranks.
1. Bryce James, Bronny James and LeBron James
The James household has become what feels like the first family of basketball. For years, LeBron spoke about playing in the NBA alongside his son Bronny — which he did on opening night last month.
The belief was always Bryce was simply too young for all three to play in the league at the same time. Yet, approaching his 40th birthday, LeBron has four triple-doubles in his last five games, and has spoken fervently about how he has several more years left.
Bryce is now a high school senior, and should he make it to the NBA, it’s tough to imagine there not being a triple auto chase card featuring LeBron and his two sons.
2. Arch Manning, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Archie Manning
How often do we see a quad auto card?
Where there is debate as to who the biggest basketball family is, there is zero when it comes to football.
While the Kelce brothers have certainly made strides in the last few years, the Mannings have been dominating the game for multiple generations.
Arch looks to continue the legacy of his uncles and grandfather in college and the NFL. In his limited action this season, the Texas QB looks all the parts of the phenom he has been touted to be.
A card signed by all four of them could become the most valuable football card ever for someone not named Brady or Mahomes.
3. Cooper Flagg
Four games into his college career, it’s obvious why Cooper Flagg is one of the highest-rated recruits in college basketball history.
It’s tough to think of anyone besides LeBron James or Victor Wembanyama who has been as hyped as Flagg. The attention on him nearly rivals that of Zion Williamson. He trained with Team USA ahead of the Olympics and guess what ... he should still be a senior in high school.
Topps has already released a 1/1 card with a piece of his shoe in it from his first game at Duke.
Once Flagg gets to the league, I’m sure something else will be in the cards ...
4. Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes
Just look at the attention Skenes’ Topps 1/1 Rookie Debut Patch card received. The Pirates made their best trade offer this century for it!
Adding Dunne to the mix would be another potential gem of a card.
Not only is she Skenes’ girlfriend, but she’s an All-America gymnast with the second-highest NIL valuation for any collegiate athlete.
5. Travis Hunter
What if there was an auto dual card instead of a dual auto card?
What I mean is instead of having photos of two different athletes and having them both sign it, what if there was a card of Hunter as both a receiver and a defensive back that Colorado's two-way star signed?
What fan wouldn’t want that from one of the best football talents we’ve ever seen?
