Panini Instant released a new series of cards Friday celebrating the New York Liberty’s first WNBA title.
Available from until Wednesday, the print-to-demand series features cards of Finals MVP Jonquel Jones, Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and mascot Ellie the Elephant. Base variations of the cards retail for $9.99 and are expected to ship within 20 to 25 business days after the purchase window closes.
Among the cards available are a number of short-printed variations at fixed prices, including Blue Viper 1/1s, which immediately sold out after the purchase window opened Friday. Featuring two cards of Jones and one of Ionescu, the Blue Viper 1/1s ranged in price from $139.99 to $199.99.
Variations such as Jungle /25, Jaguar /10 and White Tiger /5 were still available for a number of cards early Friday afternoon.
The Panini Instant drop for the Liberty follows a surge in interest for WNBA cards and merchandise. According to Fanatics, the Liberty set a 30-day sales record for WNBA championship items in less than 24 hours after winning the title Sunday night.
