Less than a week after release, one of the most coveted cards from 2025 Topps Series 1 isn’t even a baseball player.
Currently available as rare redemption cards, non-numbered autographs from Larry David have already fetched $3,000 on the secondary market, according to data tool Card Ladder.
As of Friday afternoon, the highest public sale when searching Card Ladder for “2025 Topps Series 1” is the $10,100 paid for the 2025 Topps Series 1 Larry David Autograph Foilfractor 1/1. In total, six of the top 10 sales for Topps Series 1 are redemptions for David autographs.
Best known as a co-creator of the hit sitcom “Seinfeld,” David gained additional recognition as the star of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” since the show’s debut in 2000.
These are David’s first autographs to appear in a Topps product.
Though David’s autograph might seem slightly out of place, it is far from the first time Topps has included a celebrity autograph in a baseball set.
Among the most notable recent examples are a number of cut signatures included in 2024 Topps Transcendent Baseball, which was released last month. That set included 1/1 cut signatures from Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein, David Bowie, Duke Ellington, Ernest Hemingway, Freddie Mercury, Heath Ledger, John Lennon and more.
