A Jerry Rice 1999 Metal Universe Gem Masters 1/1 card sold for $190,000 in a private sale, setting a new record for any Rice card.

Rice's 1997 PMG Green card held the previous record at $150,000.

The sale was reported by CardLadder, which verified the transaction and says it was purchased ungraded on Oct. 1, 2024, by The Wharf Sports Cards on behalf of a client. In the months since, it was submitted to PSA and graded a PSA 8.

In addition to a Rice record, the sale marks a new high for any football card from the 1990s.

The most expensive sale for Rice’s iconic 1986 Topps rookie card was for $125,655 in February 2021.
