Jason Day’s "banned" sweater vest, which he was asked to remove during the 2024 Masters, sold for $18,000 via a private auction benefiting his charity, Brighter Days Foundation.

The Malbon golf vest caught the eyes of tournament officials when Day wore it during a second-round pairing with Tiger Woods at Augusta National earlier this year.

A sleeveless shirt emblazoned with his sponsor in striking letters reading “Malbon Golf Championship” across its chest, Day was asked to take off the vest by Augusta officials, a request which he obliged.

The sale doesn’t quite elevate the Malbon vest to the level of Jordan’s “banned” Air Jordan I’s, but for an otherwise unremarkable tournament-worn vest (Day finished tied for 30th at the year's first major), it’s an impressive price nonetheless.
