A group of outfits worn by Randy “Macho Man” Savage, including one he wore in his famous Slim Jim commercials, collectively sold Sunday night at Heritage Auctions for $136,540.
The Slim Jim commercial outfit he was wearing when he famously said, “Snap into a Slim Jim,” was the highlight, selling for $45,140. The outfit was matched to Macho Man’s win against Ric Flair at WCW’s “Bash at the Beach” in 1995.

One outfit was matched to a press photo of the July 1988 formation of the “Mega Powers,” where Savage teamed up with Hulk Hogan. Another was worn when he cut the hair of Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake.
Savage’s real name was Randy Poffo.
From 1971-1974, Poffo played minor-league baseball in the Cardinals and Reds organizations, never getting beyond the Class A level.
The outfits were consigned by Barbara Lynn Poffo, Savage’s wife for the final year of his life. He died of a heart attack at the age of 58 in 2011.
